Buildots is a company that develops a platform for tracking construction progress by analyzing site footage and project planning data.
I’ve been a Product Designer at Buildots since April 2024. With no prior background in construction, I had to learn this complex field in depth to design features that turn large amounts of project data into clear, actionable views.
Line of Balance
This feature allows users to track the performance of multiple construction activities on a visual graph and view future forecasts for each one.
Users can adjust the forecast by testing different work paces and immediately see where delays may occur or where one activity is blocking another.
I designed this feature end-to-end, from initial brainstorming and wireframing to the final product experience.
Buildots Capture App
A mobile app that allows field technicians to control their 360° cameras and maintain an organized log of captured site footage.
I designed the app from scratch, which required a deep understanding of on-site workflows and technical limitations such as unstable connectivity and different phone–camera connection possibilities.
